EJWP1 Final online training week

The last full week before Christmas break (14 – 18 Dec.) was another intensive and satisfying training week for EJWP1. We planned before the pandemic to visit Kosice, Slovakia, so we were happy that the Technical University of Kosice was still our digital host. The week featured intensive masterclasses on remediation techniques on polluted ground water, synthetic nanoparticles in wastewater treatment and the safety of hydrogen and water distribution infrastructure. Next to that, EJWP1 presented their project on Hydrogen, that was taking place in Slovakia. One positive thing about digital training weeks is that on the same day ‘visiting’ Kosice, we were also able to join Water Europe’s Workshop on Blue Green Infrastructure, within the Water Knowledge Europe, Horizon Europe conference.

During the personal development trainings we explored conflict management and dealing with complexity. The last training was a welcome preparation for the start up of the project of the Value of Water Vision Leader Team of Water Europe, presented and introduced by Gonzalo Delacámara. Stay tuned for more sneak previews of their developments.

We decided as group that after four online training weeks our final training week will be face-to-face as soon as it is possible again.
