To help slow the pace of climate change, the UK government has pledged that emissions of greenhouse gases will be cut to net zero equivalent, measured against 1990 levels by 2050. Meeting UK carbon reduction targets is a tough challenge for the water and wastewater industry but Dwr Cymru Welsh Water plans to become an energy neutral business by 2050.
How can the Dwr Cymru Welsh Water and the European water sector make use of shared knowledge and best practices to shape their future strategies to meet the carbon reduction targets while protecting and enhancing the water environment?
