March 2021: Water Knowledge Europe Spring Edition and much more!

Central to our March activities was the 2021 Water Knowledge Europe Spring edition event of Water Europe. The European Junior Water Programme launched their activities by leading the Working Group Human Capital on 18 March, including

The launch of our new Erasmus+ Project SMARTEN!

Building a White Paper for a Sustainable Human Capital Agenda for the European Water Sector, and presenting the first results of our two surveys to support the Paper

Exploring the possibilities for new consortia and projects within European funding opportunities

A week later, on March 25, we jointly organized and hosted a Workshop on Building a Water Smart Europe in the Digital Age, focusing on anchors and barriers of digital transformation. EJWP Director, Naomi Timmer, led the ‘People’ group on working together to articulate needed actions in this field. The results of the Workshop will be taken along with the White Papers of the Working Groups’ Human Capital, Water and ICT and the Vision Leader Team on ICT. Nice to note is that EJWP participants have free access to the network and its activities, as well as knowledge sharing sessions of Water Europe.

25 – 26 March were booked for the General Assembly of our other Erasmus+ projects: SPIRE SAIS. The first project results were presented in working towards a blueprint for Skill Development on Industrial Symbiosis and Energy Efficiency for a sustainable process industry.

In the last week of March, EJWP2 had its first experience with project InterVision – co-worker consultancy method – to support their work in the development of their project on new narratives on the Value of Water. Reflecting on their first international/ intercultural project and team work. Finally, we took new potential participants on a journey of the EJWP in the online presentation and Q&A.
